Ok, garbage is not a product at all and certainly none you would spend money for. Everybody knows garbage is something one should reduce and not produce. So, how can a garbage-producing company be a green Startup?   

The secret is called upcycling. Upcycling is the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value.

Nordwerk recyclingDESIGN produces furniture, exhibition stand construction and any special designs made of recycled materials - primarily from used corrugated cardboard.

Do you have at home things you do not like anymore, but they can still be used you do not want to throw them away? Do you have at home some old functional furniture that needs new design and you do not know how to make it? Bring it to Zdrojovna!

ZDROJOVNA is a beginning community centre and recycling workroom. It is based on the idea that a part of society lives in lack, while the rest abounds with surplus. Because when things still serve, they should not be considered as waste. Zdrojovna wants to contribute to better balance with making a place suitable for remodeling of different things that would have ended up in a scrap yard, attic, cellar or in a bin.

The idea

The vision of Room in a Box is to design ultramobile, sustainable and affordable furniture for young people. The founders have discovered their perfect material in corrugated cardboard – 85% of which is recycled paper and 100% of which can be re-recycled. So far they have designed tables, chairs, a bed and several custom-made products like white boards and stalls for trade fairs.
